Diversity and intercultural dialogue

Workshops react to the process of intercultural changes in Europe. From this background we will start discussions about problems and possibilities of an intercultural dialogue especially between Europe and the Islam or the differences between Spanish and the Catalonian lifestyle and life imaginations.

Discrimination in democracy

How does EU deal with questions concerning discrimination? Topics like equality, indirect discrimination will be worked out. What arrangements, political models and programmes are there? How they function and how they are realized?

How our Planet feels?

What are the consequences of our lifestyle to the Earth? What will happen if the population increases, the quantity of water decreases, the condition of the air will be worse and worse and the global warming does not stop ? Besides discussing these questions other hot issues will be touched as well.

Democracy in the EU

Are the institutions of the EU democratic? Where are the roots of democracy? How attitudes towards democracy differ in the old and new EU member states? These workshops will offer space for exchange of experiences about democracy issues.

What democratic and equal forms are there in the work and in the economy? Introduced through the example of Cooperatives…

How is cultural diversity accepted in different counties? How about minorities? These topics will be elaborated in the centre of Barcelona by using your camera.

Our immune system

Is there any connection between stress and globalisation? When will we take time for ourselves? How to cope with stress by exercises and sport activities?

To live in a minority

What does minority mean and how do they arise? How do minorities feel in your country? Concrete social and state discrimination of social groups.

Cultural diversity

There is diversity everywhere in our life: in the society, in the economy, in cultures etc.. Does diversity enrich our life or does it make everything just more complicated? It is a creative workshop, which takes place in the streets of Barcelona as well! Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Human rights

Labour trade, death penalty, children soldiers are real issues in many countries nowadays. What do these distant conditions mean to us for Europeans?

What do we understand under the concept „tolerance”? Are there people who are especially in danger and need to be defended? Role and acknowledgement of human rights for a tolerant living society.
